It seems as though Dust 514 is positioning itself as the most integrated piece of gaming software in history. Exclusive to the PlayStation 3, this online multiplayer hooks up to your PC via Eve Online, and now CCP plan on conquering the Vita.
At EveFest last month, the Icelandic developers announced that Dust 514 would have "cohort" apps which would allow you to perform admin tasks such as browsing the marketplace and mission navigation, but now they are hinting at the possibilities of using Sony's hand-held as a controlling device.
"Once you get your hands on the Vita, you can imagine it as a controller for your Dust experience," he said. "Our first steps will be cohort apps - the idea of taking a certain amount of the [game's] admin on the go. But the opportunity is massive in terms of what could be on that screen while you're playing Dust 514," CCP's David Reid told PlayStation Blogcast
With a planned launch sometime in the Summer, there seems no end to the ambitions of CCP and their first console launch. Watch this space for more details as they become available.
